The Family Child Care Network

Combines the standards of a first-rate child care center with the personal touch and intimacy of a home environment.

The Family Child Care Network is a group of licensed child care Educators in Monterey and lower Santa Cruz County that operate high quality programs in their homes.

They work directly with us on a number of issues, and we provide ongoing training and support. FCCN combines the standards of a first-rate child care center with the personal touch and intimacy of a home environment.

Their facilities offer children:

  • A safe and healthy environment.

  • Developmentally and age-appropriate activities.

  • Nurturing, caring interactions with staff.

Parents are a very important part of FCCN

They assess each child and share the information with their parents, who can then help develop an educational plan to meet their child’s needs. The California Department of Education also offers financial assistance, so low-income families can provide their children with the best care while they work, attend school or training.

FCCN Educators receive extensive education and support, including

Training with other area FCC Educators. They learn from people who are actually in the field, experiencing the same issues all professionals face.

Training in child assessment, creating plans for individual children's needs, and communicating with parents.

Regular monthly payments on behalf of eligible families who are enrolled.
